Obituary of Arsenault, Joey Marc
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Parents Jerry (Gerard) Arsenault, (Cindy Ellands) and Sally McKinley as well as his brother Jeremy, sister-in-law Réjeanne, niece Katherine and his grandmother Denise Arsenault as well as special friends Jeff Hicken and Tara Anderson.
He was predeceased by grandfathers Léo J. T. Arsenault and Douglas McKinley, grandmother Winnifred McKinley, uncle Hilaire (Hilary) Arsenault, aunts Sharon Goudie and Sonia McKinley.
Joey faced every obstacle with grit and determination. He was admired for the way he played the cards of life he was dealt. He graduated high school in year 2000 and lived independently for 15 years. He celebrated his 38th birthday on Aug 12th. He taught us so many things over the years and was a shining light. A true star. He brightened the lives of so many. He overcame all the odds and gave his best shot at life. His huge smile and big laugh were his trademarks.
He will also be greatly missed by all his aunts and uncles, cousins and the numerous friends he connected with along his journey. Special thanks to Lionel Poirier and uncle Marcel Arsenault for showing Joey the world while chauffeuring him through North America.
Donations can be made to the Elise Arsenault (picture above) trust fund, Joey's 9 year old cousin, granddaughter of Yvon and Angèle Arsenault, who was born with a chromosome disorder who faces similar challenges as Joey. Joey and Élise also share an undeniable love for joy, laughter and life.
