Obituary of Richard, Donat Joseph

Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, December 27, 2020 of Joseph "Donat" Richard of Urbainville age 77 years. Donat was born on February 11, 1943 to his parents Céofred Richard and Edna (Arsenault) Richard of Urbainville. Beloved husband of Eunice (Arsenault) Richard and dear father to Gérald (Kayla Strongman). He is survived by his brother an sisters Yvonne (Adrien, deceased), Nora (Elmer), Zelma (Edward, deceased), Réné (Aline), Mélina (Harold), Aldona (Richard) and Donalda (Donat). He will also be remembered by many nephews and nieces and by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Céofred and Edna Richard and also by his in-laws Franky and Marie Anne Arsenault, also by his brother Fredrick (Tina, deceased) and sisters Marie (Adrus), Cécile (Eric, deceased) and brother-in-law John Barriault. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, Urbainville where due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family gathering will be held by invitation only. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont-Bay and interment in the church cemetery. Donations to the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Cemetery fund or to the Évangéline Funeral Home would be greatly appreciated.
