Obituary of Dorothy Mary Gaudet
September 24, 1958 ~ September 2, 2024
It is with sadness in our hearts that we, the family of Dorothy Mary Gaudet announce her peaceful passing at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on September 2nd, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born on September 24th, 1958 and was the beloved daughter of the late Leonard and the late Rita Gaudet.
Despite all her challenges, Dorothy always had a smile on her face and a warm hug for everyone. She will always be remembered as having a child-like spirit with a love for everyone she met.
Dorothy will be forever missed by her brothers and sisters; Theresa (Kenny) Murl, Rosemarie (Doug) Sonier, Dianne (Raymond) Desroches, Yvonne (Eldon Arsenault) Gaudet, Roger (Amie) Gaudet, Nicole (Ivan MacArthur) Gaudet.
Also left to cherish her fond memories are her uncles; Johnny (Azèle) Arsenault, Leo Arsenault (late Germaine), and aunt Léona Gaudet (late Earl), nieces and nephews, Susan Murl, John MacArthur, Jean MacArthur, Justin and Jake Lambert-Gaudet and numerous cousins.
Predeceased by her parents, numerous aunts and uncles and her special friend Wayne.
Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville for visiting hours on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a funeral Mass at the St. Philippe et St. Jacques Catholic Church, Egmont Bay at 4 p.m. Interment will follow immediately after the funeral Mass in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Dorothy’s memory to Community Connections and/or PEI Alzheimer Society.
