Obituary of Jeanne Durant

June 26, 1936 ~ August 10, 2023 Peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, at the O’Leary Community Hospital in O’Leary, on Thursday, August 10, 2023 of Jeannette (Jeanne) Durant (née Derasp) of Le Chez-Nous, Wellington and formerly of Mont-Carmel, at the age of 87 years. Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Ronnie Durant and cherished daughter of the late Léger and Annie (née Arsenault) Derasp. Jeanne is survived by her loving children: Gisele (Jean Paul) Gallant, Susan Durant (Larry Llewellyn), Cindy (David) Arsenault and Dennis (Velma) Durant. She will forever be remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Ken (Joan) Hale, Mike (Debbie) Hale, Rick (Margaret) Hale and Ron Wybou; will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Cody, Krista, Kris, Benjamin, Matthew, Melissa, Lucas and Nico; missed by her great grandchildren: Kenley, Kiptyn, Kamden, Kaleb, Porter, Hunter, Jaxson, Brayson, Hudson, Macie, Amelia, Maverick, Weston and Noa; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ronnie, her parents Léger and Annie Derasp, her parents-in-law Vernon and Helen Durant, her brother Joe and sister-in-law Hélène, her sister-in-law Elizabeth and Gabrielle Durant, infant daughter of Dennis and Velma. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 PE-124, Urbainville for visiting hours on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church, Saturday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
