Obituary of Yvon Arsenault
Yvon Louis Arsenault
May 23rd, 1930 – July 13, 2023
At the young age of 93 years, with his custom speed and no fanfare, Yvon Louis Arsenault departed the earth on July 13, 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In conversation with friends, he was nicknamed a recycled teenager whom he seemed to regard with favor. He was the beloved son of the late Émilien and Gabrielle Arsenault (Bérubé).
Yvon was born on May 23rd, 1930 in Egmont Bay. He spent his entire career as a lumber jack in Northern Ontario. He also served as the onsite mechanic for the various machines he operated. His sense of humour was enjoyed by all. Upon his retirement on PEI, he took up making rosaries, playing cards, gardening, loving his cat "Acadia ".
Yvon will be forever remembered by his Special Friend Edna Arsenault, his sister Yvette McDonald, sisters-in-law Jeanita and Irene, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Yvon was predeceased by his siblings Fernande, Robert (Géralda), Gemma (10 years old), Bertrand, Lorraine, Simon, Gemma (Billy) Arsenault, Francine (Gerald) Savoie and brother-in-law Burnell McDonald.
Resting at the Évangeline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville until Monday, July 17, 2023, then to the St Philippe et St Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 4 pm.
