Obituary of Leonce, Bernard J

J. Leonce Bernard The death occurred peacefully with his family by his side at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday March 26, 2013 of Leonce Bernard at the age of 69. He was the son of the late Antonin and Emma (Cormier) Bernard. He was a devoted husband to Florence Bernard of Wellington and loving father to Michel (Giselle) Bernard, Pierre (Lynda) Bernard, Francine (Rick) Poirier and Charles (Lyanne) Bernard. Leonce is survived by brothers and sisters Freda (Isidore) Gallant, Adrien (Claire) Bernard, Soeur Hermine Bernard, Amand (Marie) Bernard, Maria Bernard, Ronald Bernard and Leona Bernard. Grand children Samuel, Patrick, Megan, Emily, Damien, Renelle and Felix. He is also survived by in-laws Exina Richard, Wilfred (Leonie) Gallant, Glorice (Marguerite) Gallant, Dorina (Lionel) Arsenault, Geralda Gallant, Antoine Richard, Cecile (Cliff) Bernard and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Ernest, sister Soeur Marie-Leonce and brother in-law Robert Richard. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville until Monday April 1 then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the church receiving vault. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Sunday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Members of the Wellington Legion Branch # 17 will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. Memorial donations made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Building fund would be appreciated.
