Obituary of Arsenault, Rita M.
Rita M. Arsenault (nee Gallant), of Wellington, and formerly of St. Chrysostome, passed peacefully from this earth into the arms of her late husband, Tilmon P. Arsenault, her late daughter, Louise, and her God and Saviour on Sunday, May 26th at the age of 91, at the O`Leary Community Hospital. She was born on June 25, 1921 to the late Cyrus and Edna Gallant. She is survived by her thirteen children: Roger (Rita) Arsenault of Riverview, NB.; Urbain (Geneva) Arsenault of Summerside, PE; Edgar (Firma) Arsenault of Wellington, PE; Zella Beaulac of Charlottetown, PE; Leonce (Marilyn) of Pickering, ON; Louis (Bernice) of Mont Carmel, PE; Lucia Cameron (Paul Smith) of Kelvin Grove, PE; Yvon (Angele) Arsenault of Wellington, PE; Colette Arsenault of Abram-Village, PE; Roland (Sandra) Arsenault of Wellington, PE; Albert (Corinne) Arsenault of Wellington, PE; Cecilia (Mike) Guerrette, of Madawaska, Maine; and Julia (Peter) Austin of San Jose, California.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Edgar (Annette) Gallant of Ottawa, ON; sister, Louise (late Joseph) Arsenault of Wellington, PE; brother, Dolor (Melina) Gallant of Scarborough, ON; brother, Elmer (Avola) Gallant of Abram-Village, PE; sister-in-law, Zelma (late Edmond) Gallant of Wellington, PE; Doreen (late Tilmon) Gallant of Abram-Village, PE.
She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Gustave and Thelma Gallant of Ontario, brother and sister-in-law, Donat and Emily Gallant of Summerside, PE, brothers Edmond Gallant & Tilmon Gallant, as well as a special son-in-law, Eric Cameron.
Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville, PE, visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Philippe & St. Jacques Church in Egmont Bay followed by internment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to Le Chez-Nous Residents Activities Fund,Wellington, Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or any charitable organization of your choice would be appreciated.
