Obituary of Gallant, Anita Stella

Anita Stella Gallant (née Arsenault) of St. Raphael, died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital on Saturday February 8, 2014 at the age of 81 years. She was born on December 18, 1932 to her late parents Béatrice (née Aucoin) and Donat Arsenault. Loving wife of Expédit Gallant and mother of Faye Gallant, David (Donna) Gallant, Emily (Ives) Gaudette, Christine (Jerry) Boucher, Genny (Dick) Walsh, Claudette (Cecile) Gallant, Camilla (Earl) Costain, Monique (Blair) Blanchard, Elmer Gallant, Georgieanna Gallant, Sarah (Stu) Ridler and Basil (Marilyn) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Euclide (Julia) Gallant of St. Raphael, Martin (Wilma) Arsenault of British Columbia, Rene (Phyllis) Arsenault of Ontario, Clarence (Sherren) Arsenault of Summerside, Raymond Arsenault of St. Raphael, Wilfred (Stella) Arsenault of New Brunswick, Florence (Elmer) Gallant of New Brunswick and Louise (Delore - deceased) Gallant of Wellington. She is also survived by the following sisters-in-law: Béatrice Arsenault, Freda Poirier, Claudia Arsenault and Lucie (Olaf) MacDonald. Anita is predeceased by her brother Edward Arsenault, her sister Joséphine Gallant and several brothers in-law and sisters in-law. Resting at the Evangéline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Tuesday February 11, 2014 then to the Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel church, Mont-Carmel for funeral mass at 10:30. Interment at the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Monday 2pm to 4 pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated
