Obituary of Arsenaulty, Alfred
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday September 18th , 2014 of Alfred (Eddy) Arsenault at the age of 93 years. Eddy was born in St. Chrysostome on October 9, 1921 son of the late Arcade and Madelaine Arsenault.
Eddy is survived by his loving wife Rita (nee Gallant) Arsenault and children Marie (Elmer) of Wellington, Raymond (Célina) of Abram's Village, Helen of Egmont Bay, Peter (Marie) of Mont Carmel and Albert (Julie) Mont Carmel. Cherished grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Also survived by sisters Yvonne Arsenault, Emma (Camille) Cormier and Geralda Gallant and brother Amand (Marguerite) Arsenault .
Besides his parents, Eddy was predeceased by brother Edmond, sons Maurice, Walter and Leonce and granddaughter Kim Arsenault.
Due to the ongoing renovations at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, he will be resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, September 22, then to St.Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Wellington Legion Branch # 17 will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home in Summerside at 6:30 p.m.
