Obituary of Richard, Cyril Joseph

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on February 11, 2016 of Cyril Joseph Richard of Cape Egmont, at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Rosella (nee Cormier), Cyril was born in Cape Egmont on July 4th, 1926 to his late parents Glorice and Marianne (nee Aucoin) Richard. Besides his wife Rosella, Cyril is survived by his sons and daughters: Donald (Don), Moncton NB, Sr. Claudette SSCM, La Pocati&egravere PQ, Léonce at home and Noëlla, St. Nicholas. Also cherished and forever in the hearts of his brothers and sisters: Ars&egravene, Adolphe (Léona), Mélina, Bertha (Gordon) Perry and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ang&egravele, Maria, Francois (Marie), Jean (Ir&egravene), Léona. Cyril is predeceased by his parents Glorice and Marianne, sisters: Sr. Marguerite, Hél&egravene, Isabella(Infancy) brothers: Martin, Eric, Robert, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joseph Derasp, Doria Richard, Marie Cormier, Nora Cormier, Henri and Ir&egravene Cormier, Andy and Lucina Gallant and Earl Gaudet. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Monday February 15, then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cyril's memory to the Mont Carmel Church or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. His monuments can be found throughout the region, especially in the Mont Carmel and Egmont Bay cemeteries. He also supervised the construction of many buildings, including the former Village Pionnier Acadien and Le Goéland.
