Obituary of Gallant, Frederick Alfred
Frederick Alfred Gallant, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Summerset Manor in Summerside on Friday, May 11, 2018. A Veteran and War Amputee of the Second World War, Fred was born January 12,1923 in Summerside, PEI. He was the son of the late Alphie and Roseline (nee Maddex) Gallant.
Beloved husband of Thalda (nee Buell) and dear father of Judy (Les) Penney, Summerside, Paul Gallant, Shirley Gallant and Mike Gallant all of Pleasant Grove. Grandfather of Ian (Tanya), Micah, Dane and Sarah-Rose
Penney. Great Grandfather of Shaelyn and Kelsie Penney.
Dear brother of Inez (Al) Humphrey. Predeceased by brothers Albert, Peter, and Rennie, sisters Eileen (Les) Greer, Reta (Archie) Leamon, and Irene Melanson.
Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville. In keeping with the wishes of the family funeral services will be private. Interment to take place in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Wellington.

Frederick Alfred Gallant
The funeral service for Frederick Alfred Gallant of Summerset Manor, Summerside, and dear husband of Thalda (nee Buell) Gallant was held on Tuesday May 15th, in the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Chapel, Urbainville at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Andrew Handrahan who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell. The first reading was read by Ian Penney and the second by Les Penney who he also did the prayers of the faithful. The active pallbearers were Les Penney, Paul Gallant, Mike Gallant, Ian Penny, Micah Penney and Dane Penney. Interment took place in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Wellington with Fr. Andrew Handrahan officiating.
