Obituary of Arsenault, Zélica Mary
Le 3 septembre 2018, au Summerset Manor de Summerside, é l'I.-P.-É., entourée de l'amour de sa famille, est décédée Madame Zélica Arsenault é l'âge de 86 ans. Épouse de Joseph C. Arsenault de Mont-Carmel, elle était la fille de feu Anaclet et feu Lucie Gallant (née Arsenault). Elle est née é Oyster Bed Bridge et a grandi é Union Corner.
Zélica laisse dans le deuil son mari et ses enfants : Noëlla (feu Christopher), Edgar (Pauline), Edmond (Corinne), Rose (Yvan), Roger (Maureen), Norma (Yvon), John (Marcia), Alfred, Paula (Eric) et Donna (Kevin). Elle était aussi la mémé de plusieurs petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse également dans le deuil son frère et ses sœurs : Leonard, Esther, Claire (Adrien) et Rose; ses belles-sœurs : Marguerite, Freda, Aurore, Louise (Sandford) et Irene; de nombreux neveux et nièces; ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et ami (e)s.
Outre ses parents, Zélica est précédée dans la tombe par ses frères : Isidore, Raymond et P. Edmond; ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs : Pat Gallant, Dick Steele, Denis et Alice Arsenault, Arsène Arsenault, Albert et Anita Arsenault, Fidèle Arsenault et Thérèse et Félix Arsenault; ainsi que quelques neveux et nièces.
Fidèle é la religion catholique ainsi qu'é sa culture acadienne, Zélica était une personne aux multiples talents artistiques, au courant de l'actualité, intéressée é participer aux activités (trivia, spelling bee, etc.) et, surtout, fière de sa famille.
La famille recevra parents et amis le mercredi 5 septembre de 18h é 21h au Salon funéraire co-op Évangeline Co-op Funeral Home d'Urbainville. Les funérailles seront célébrées le jeudi 6 septembre é 10h30 en l'église Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel é Mont-Carmel. L'enterrement aura lieu au cimetière de l'église. Au lieu de fleurs, un don é la Société canadienne du cancer ou é l'église Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel serait apprécié. Surrounded by her family, Zélica Arsenault (née Gallant) passed away peacefuly at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, PEI, on September 3rd, 2018, at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of Joseph C. Arsenault of Mont-Carmel. She was the daughter of the late Anaclet and Lucie (née Arsenault) Gallant. Formely of Oyster Bed Bridge, she grew up in Union Corner.
She was the cherished mother of Noëlla (the late Christopher), Edgar (Pauline), Edmond (Corinne), Rose (Yvan), Roger (Maureen), Norma (Yvon), John (Marcia), Alfred, Paula (Eric) and Donna (Kevin). She was also the dearly loved mémé of numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Zélica is also survived by brother Leonard, sisters Esther, Claire (Adrien) and Rose, sisters-in-law Marguerite, Freda, Aurore, Louise (Sandford) and Irene, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Isidore, Raymond and Fr. Edmond and by brother and sisters-in-law Pat Gallant, Dick Steele, Denis and Alice Arsenault, Arsène Arsenault, Albert and Anita Arsenault, Fidèle Arsenault and Thérèse and Félix Arsenault.
Faithful to the Catholic religion and her acadian culture, Zélica was a multi-talented artist, liked to keep up with current events, interested in activities (trivia, spelling bees, etc.) and especially proud of her family.
Resting at the Salon funéraire co-op Évangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville, visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5th. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church on Thurday, September 6th at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.

The funeral mass for Zélica Mary (nee Gallant) Arsenault of Summerset Manor, Summerside, formerly of Mont Carmel beloved wife of Joseph C. Arsenault was held on Thursday September 5th, from the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville then to Our Lady of Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel at 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Michel Painchaud who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell, assisted by Fr. Eddie Cormier and Fr. Brendon Gallant. The urn was carried by son Edgar Arsenault. Flower bearers were Kyle Cameron, Sydney Cameron, Aaron Arsenault and Tyscia Audy. The readings were proclaimed by Alfred Arsenault (English) and Noëlla Arsenault (French). The prayers of the faithful were addressed by Candace Cameron (English) and Rose Gallant (French). Eucharistic ministers were Eric Blacquire and Marcella Poirier. Cross bearer was Adele Arsenault and the candle bearers were Gabrielle and Noah Blacquire. The community church choir was under the direction and organist Edmond Gallant. Groups attending the funeral were Evangeline-Central Credit Union board of directors and staff also the Summerset Manor staff. Interment took place in the church cemetery with Fr. Michel Painchaud officiating.
