Obituary of Rawlings, Mark Steven
December 14, 1950 to December 8, 2018.
Mark unexpectedly passed away in his Mont-Carmel, PEI home, leaving us without a chance to say goodbye.
He will be remembered as a talented, respected and compassionate man by his spouse Digna Ledda, sister Nina Housego (Edward), brother David (Susan), nephew Michael (Denise) and niece Laura (George). Mark was predeceased by his parents Roy and Bernice.
He will also be missed by his great-nieces and nephews Emma, Victoria, Aaron, Ethan and Marcus, as well as Digna's siblings Maggie (Joe, deceased), Chito, Claudio, Tetel (Zenia), Dada (Elvira), Nicky (Fides), Grace (Raul), Gina and Elds.
Mark also leaves behind a network of friends who he touched through kindness, music and motorcycles in Toronto, Prince Edward Island and Mexico.
Mark always carved his own path in life. He never met a musical instrument he couldn't play, or a motorcycle he could not repair. His longtime canine companion Bauer could attest to his love for teaching old dogs new tricks.
At Mark's request, there will be no formal funeral service and a private cremation has taken place.
Donations may be made to the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 77, Wellington PE C0B 2E0.
Alternatively, we ask people to honour Mark with an act of kindness: call, visit or spend time with someone, in his memory. The family also appreciates the work of the Summerside EMS team.
